The Movie Expo exists to connect Canadian filmmaking talent to the world stage. This is why we are bringing the same opportunities from Hollywood to the north.

Our trade show is one of a kind. We believe in providing a world-class exhibition, by facilitating global connections, and supporting film industry trends and standards. Open to the public and industry professionals, there’s something for everyone to learn, discover, and enjoy at The Movie Expo. Join us  March 20 - 21, 2021 online to start connecting with industry experts and creators just like you.

BRINGING
HOLLYWOOD
TO THE NORTH

All Together While Apart

It has long been recognized that Canada is rich in talent but lack the same opportunities as our American neighbors in the film industry. The Movie Expo exists to connect Canadian filmmaking talent to the world stage. We are bringing the network, knowledge, and prospective collaborations up to Canada. By housing them all under one roof in an intensive 2 day interactive showcase in Toronto.

CANADIAN MARKET

Often referred to as “Hollywood North” Canada thrives as a beloved location for productions of all sorts. Canadian production budgets topped $3.23 billion Canadian dollars in 2018/2019 season, as the Canadian industry continues to grow.

AMERICAN MARKET

Hollywood has dominated the feature film production for the past 70 decades and is recognized as the world’s most prestigious  film industry. It is time to bring our neighbors up north to share industry insights and build relationships.

CHINESE MARKET

The Asian film industry is becoming the largest feature film production market globally, and the Chinese investments dominate the industry. We are connecting Canadians with key Chinese investors in the industry
