Steven Shapiro is the President of Das Films, a development financing and production company with a robust slate of mostly IP-driven feature film and television content, as well as the co-founder and CEO of Argus Entertainment Capital, a film financing company.

 

He has brought over two dozen films to fruition, including THE NOVEMBER MAN, with Pierce Brosnan, which had a wide theatrical studio release. Steve is developing a number of high profile feature film projects with Oscar winners and premiere talent. Recently completed projects include 2021 Edinburgh Film Festival Audience Award winner, THE ROAD DANCE, THE QUARRY, with Shea Whigham and two-time Oscar nominee, Michael Shannon, featured at the 2020 SXSW International Film Festival and distributed by Lionsgate, and ALBANIAN GANGSTER, featured in AMC Independent’s 2019 theatrical lineup. 

 

Steve is a member of the Director’s Guild of America, and prior to entering the film business, he was a Senior Marketing Representative for Fortune 100 company, Aetna, also ranked one of Fortune’s Most Admired Companies in the World.  He has produced music videos and commercials for major brands and record labels, and received his BS from Syracuse University and his MBA in Finance from the Leonard N. Stern School of Business at New York University.
